| For those looking to stimulate their sense of sight, there will be bead vendors and jewelry artists selling their vibrant creations. For those hoping to stimulate their sense of sound, local blues musicians will fill the airwaves with live jam sessions. And for those wishing to stimulate their sense of smell and taste, what could be better than local BBQ vendors with enough BBQ to satisfy even the biggest appetites! |
| Put it all together and you have the 1st Annual Beads, Blues & BBQ! This event will be held at Living History Farms in Urbandale, Iowa under a huge tent in front of the Visitor's Center on Friday, July 18th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday, July 19th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. All ages are welcome! |
| This is a fundraising event for two worthwhile nonprofits in the community; therefore, all proceeds from admissions will be divided between Living History Farms (Education Services Programs like the Children's Camp) and CROSS Ministries (serving homeless and near homeless families in the Greater Des Moines area. Admission is $5 for ages over 11. |
