These Special Carnelian Beads are made in the same fashion as the DZI beads. (Pronounced 'zee'), this type of bead originated in ancient Tibet. DZI beads are believed to be 'jewelry dropped from heaven by the gods' and have been a valued collectible for over 1,300 years.

Modern replicas are made of agate carved into a basic shaped bead. A design is then painted on them with an alkaline metal and they are fired. Size and patterns will vary. Instead of Agate, these are made with Carnelian. The beads are 16x13mm, strand is 15-16 inches. Stock is limited.
